After HPT Hartner had grown up 20% with its İzmir Development Agency supported investment, now it produces 15% of the oil pump shafts in Europe. Company manager Özcan Küçükgöl said : “We went into action in 1996 in Aegean Free Zone and now we are producing oil pump shafts for Europe’s leading automotive manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo or BMW.”. Küçükgöl stated that, 780.000 of the company’s investment worth 1.8 million was funded by İzmir Development Agency, with their new investments they increased their productivity by 20% and they produce 3 million pieces in 55 different shapes per year, in a 1500 square-meter facility.
